Our project area is in four Indigenous villages located a few miles inland from the coastal plane in the County of Essequibo, Region 2. These villages are on the shores of four inter-connecting lakes, (Mashabo, Capoey, Mainstay/Whyaka and Tapakuma) from which they get their names.
